ABOUT RYAN

In January 2012, Ryan completed his education at the then-Brio Academy of Cosmetology, holding licenses in both Barbering and Cosmetology. He began his career at a full-service salon in Farmington, CT. Services he provided included cutting, coloring, and styling all hair lengths.

After spending over two years soaking up all he could of the hair industry, Ryan decided to focus on barbering and shorter hairstyles. In April 2014, he joined the team at Garrett’s Barber Shop.

His passion for music motivated him to pursue a way to bridge the gap between his career in barbering and the music industry. In 2016 Ryan led the team at Garrett’s Barber Shop to cut hair backstage at Hartford’s Xfinity theatre for the many bands and tour members of the Vans Warped Tour. In 2017 Ryan and the team were invited back for the final year of the Van’s Warped Tour.

Following his experience with Warped Tour, Ryan founded Outpost Barber LLC in May of 2019, hoping to fill a void he saw in the industry. Outpost Barber + Supply Co provides a unique experience for each guest, offering on-site grooming services for businesses, weddings, bachelor parties, backstage for bands and crew members while on the road, and other events.

Ryan is a proud husband to his wife Jenna and dog-dad to the Instagram famous @konaminiaussie. When not at the barbershop, Ryan can be spotted at a concert, on a hike, or getting in touch with his inner “Tim -the tool man- Taylor” while sharpening his home improvement skills.
